Showing LOVE For Mother

Showing LOVE for Mother

“I love you, mother,” said little John;
Then forgetting his work, his cap went on.....
And he was off to the garden swing
And left her the wood and the water to bring.

“I love you, mother,” said rosy Nell;
“I love you more than tongue can tell,”
Then she teased and pouted half the day
‘Til Mother was glad when she went to play.

“I love you, mother,” said little Nan,
“Today I’ll help you all I can,
My doll and playthings I know will keep!”
Then she rocked the baby off to sleep.

Then, stepping softly, she brought the broom
And swept the floor, and tidied the room;
Busy and helpful all day was she,
Helpful and good as a child could be.

“I love you, mother,” again they said,
While mother tucked them into bed.
Now who do you think that mother guessed,
Which of them really loved her best?

(poem: anon.)

Blessed are the mothers of the earth, for they have combined the practical with the Spiritual into one wonderful workable way of life. They have darned little socks, mended little dresses, washed little faces and have pointed little faces to Jesus the Saviour.    God bless all mothers who have fulfilled the sacred charge of motherhood in caring for the material, the physical and spiritual needs of the rising generation.

The hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world.     For you may count the seeds in an apple but you cannot count the apples in a seed.    Who knows the extent of the potential of the life of the babe in a mother’s arms?
