RAINDROPS FOR THE CHILDREN written by: Helen Dowd RAINDROPS FOR THE CHILDREN
This one's for you, Angel!
I love to hear the raindrops
Kerplopping on the roof.
I think of mini-ponies
With tiny silver hoofs.
Upon their back they carry
Shiney butterflies,
Who bring small angel fairies
All dressed up in a disguise.
These fairies visit children--
Whether big or small--
They do not care what age they are.
It matters not at all.
If you are five, or ninety-five
Or somewhere in between,
If you believe in fairies,
These fairies can be seen.
The fairies come by millions,
Each time there is a shower.
You easily can see them
On every leaf and flower.
They sparkle in the sunlight.
They jump from off the eaves.
They are the raindrops dancing.
They’re dancing on the leaves.
